The H.O.P.E. Conference
St. Margaret's Church in Bellevue was filled to capacity as we gathered to learn, share and commit ourselves to healing our planet. We heard outstanding presentations from Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori, Bishop Steven Charleston, and Dr. Sallie McFague.
The principal presentations of the conference were videotaped and will be posted for viewing on demand in mid May.

Share the conference with people who were unable to attend, or come back yourself to view it a second time. Podcast videos will also be posted for download for personal or group viewing. DVD discs of the conference presentations will also be available for purchase. Visit this site after the conference for an update on on-demand video posting and availability of DVDs.
Major Presenters
Dr. Katharine Jefferts Schori is the Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church USA. Bishop Jefferts Schori’s career as an oceanographer preceded her studies for the priesthood, to which she was ordained in 1994.
Dr. Steven Charleston is President of the Episcopal Divinity School, Cambridge, MA. Prior to this position he served as the Episcopal Bishop of Alaska. He is a Native American elder.
Dr. Sallie McFague is a Distinguished Theologian in Residence at Vancouver School of Theology, in Vancouver, B.C. Prior to that she was Professor of Theology at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. She has written extensively on environmental theology.
